When does the studio open before each class?
The studio will open 30 minutes before class. You are welcome to arrive early and relax in the studio before class begins. Please be on time to class; the studio doors will lock once the class begins.
What should I bring to class?
If you own a yoga mat, bring one with you, along with a bottle of water and a towel. We do have yoga mats and towels available to rent for class. Mats are $2 to rent & towels are $1. We also have changing rooms for you to change out of your sweaty yoga clothes after class. There are cubbies and coat racks in the reception area for you to store your belongings during class.
What should I wear for class?
The classes will be warm, so plan to wear light, comfortable clothing. Ladies typically wear yoga pants or capris with a tank top or light t-shirt. Men usually wear shorts with a t-shirt or tank top. We practice barefoot so no footwear is required!
Should I eat before class?
Try to refrain from eating a heavy meal 2-3 hours before class. Be sure to drink plenty of water and hydrate yourself before and after each class.
Can beginners attend classes at PurePower?
Absolutely! We welcome yogis of all levels to the studio. Beginners are welcome to attend any class on the schedule, however the Vinyasa Basics and Restorative classes would be a good starting point. We will offer modifications in each class to accommodate both the beginner and advanced yogis.
What is the minimum age requirement to practice at the studio?
Individuals 16 and up can attend classes at the studio.
How hot are the classes?
The heat hovers around 93 degrees in the studio with increased humidity. We do lower the heat a bit for the Vinyasa Basics and Restorative classes.
Do I need to pre-register for class?
It is not required to pre-register, although you have the option to on MindBody.
I have a Groupon. What are the restrictions & how do I pre-register?
Groupons are only valid for students who have not visited the studio in the past 12 months. You must present your Groupon when you come in to redeem it.
